Meeting Notes

Today, we had out meeting on the gyro effort. Here are a few notes.
Please feel free to correct in the comments section.

1) First cool down will be next week (hopefully), once Elmer gets the He3 fridge cable done and we put some thermometers on board. To get to this, we will need to make sure that:
a) Elmers's cable is done
b) We have a computer ready to read out the temperatures
c) we have a power supply for the fridge.

2) Keith Schwab suggested using the direct feedthrough that pass through the Helium bath to the cold plate to:
a) bring in the RF signals for the SET
b) bring in the capillary tube for filling the gyro with Helium. (We will need to cryoclean the gas beforfe pushing it through the capillary).

3) On the RF feed throughs we will use the following geometry:

The ss coax cables are thin (0.085" diameter?) with huge impedance.
KS will provide specs and company name to order more of this from a Japanese company.
We will put ~ 5 of these (correct, KS?) on one position.
KCG will ask Garry to make up some brass plates with the correct holes.
FMF will talk with Dale about soldering the brass sleeves inplace (Fred, do we have some stock about the right size, or should we order).

4) Thomas came today and asked a number of good questions.

5) Second cooldown will be with the cryoamp and other associated hardware.
KS will send to Zaven a list of additional things we need to get.

6) KCG will look for the new IRAD proposal template and fill out what he knows. He will make up something that is probably incorrect about how Thomas, Carl, and Wen-Ting want to be involved- but they can correct.

Next meeting will be on tuesday at 2:30 in room 214 building 2.

ALL- PLEASE CORRECT ERRORS IN THESE NOTES BY POSTING COMMENTS.
